Dr. Heather Fairbairn - DVM 

Dr. Fairbairn was born and raised in Afton, MN and worked at Lakeland Veterinary Hospital while in high school. From that experience, she knew she wanted to become a veterinarian. In 1998, she graduated from the University of Minnesota and has since practiced in northern Minnesota and Wisconsin. She also spent two years teaching general practice veterinary medicine at the University of Minnesota Veterinary Teaching Hospital. Throughout her career, she maintained a close connection to Lakeland Veterinary Hospital and Dr. Johnson. In February 2017, Dr. Fairbairn purchased the clinic from Drs. Johnson and Drury, as they entered a well deserved retirement. Dr. Fairbairn is keeping with the great tradition of Lakeland Veterinary Hospital's compassionate care and brings a passion for dermatology, surgery and low stress handling of pets.

In her spare time, Dr. Fairbairn enjoys camping and fishing with her family, hiking and has completed numerous marathons, including Twin Cities and Grandma's. She has a teenage son and daughter, as well as one cat, two Labrador Retrievers, and a Cockapoo. Dr. Fairbairn enjoys time with her local church family and teaches classes at Five Oaks Church in Woodbury.

Dr. Fairbairn is available Monday through Thursday, and select Saturdays. 

Dr. Shannon Tracy - DVM

Dr. Tracy attended the University of Minnesota, where she first received a Bachelor’s of Animal Science and then a doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.

In her free time, she likes to jog, read, and try new restaurants. Her fur family currently consists of one Shiba Inu named Finn. Dr. Tracy has had a love of animals of all kinds since a child, but found herself being pulled towards the veterinary field as she also enjoys working with people and seeing the unique human-animal bond between owners and pets.

Dr. Tracy is available Monday, Wednesday through Friday and select Saturdays. 

Dr. Blair Johnson - DVM

Dr. Johnson graduated in 1980 from the University of Tennessee and practiced in Oak Ridge, Tennessee for one year before moving to the Twin Cities. He and his wife, Jeanie, started Lakeland Veterinary Hospital in 1983. Dr. Johnson has had a lifelong compassion for animals and a strong fascination for medicine. Dr. Johnson enjoys playing musical instruments, gardening, woodworking, fly fishing, camping, hiking, and cross-country skiing.

Dr. Johnson is available for ultrasound services.
